SlayInsure launched in 2021 after our founders — then all in their mid-20s — went through the exact same frustrating ritual: get a car, need insurance, spend an entire afternoon on the phone getting quoted numbers that made no sense, with no explanation of what was actually being covered. They figured if it was this confusing for three people who were generally good at navigating bureaucracy, it was probably worse for everyone else.
So they built a marketplace that does the comparison shopping for you, explains coverage in plain language, and skips the hold music entirely. What started as a side project comparing auto quotes has grown into a full marketplace spanning auto, home, life, health, business, and pet insurance.
